We just moved into a new apartment where the bedroom door frame is built in such a way that the mezuzah is on the inside of the room. Is it a problem to have relations with a mezuzah in the room? What should we do?

In this case, wrap the scroll in a piece of paper. So long as the scroll is encased in two coverings (the paper and a decorative mezuzah case), you may have relations in its presence. It would be best to use a mezuzah case without a "window" to the scroll and without HaShem's name on the outside of it.
