Relations on mikveh night
January 18, 2017

Question

If either spouse falls asleep before relations on Mikvah night is it okay if no relations take place that night?

Answer

Although a couple should make every effort to have relations on mikveh night, they are permitted to postpone relations if both agree.

Ideally, both spouses should try to help each other get extra rest prior to the night of immersion. But one spouse need not awaken the other in order to have relations on mikveh night. (And of course relations should not take place when the wife is asleep.)
