What is the law of having relations motzei tisha bav? I understand that we are to keep laws of niddah the night/day of – but as we observe the laws till the next morning, do we contimue keeping the law of nidda? Thank you.
Answer
The restrictions from the night following Tisha B'Av until chatzot the next day are the same as those observed during the Nine Days: we refrain from eating meat, doing laundry, listening to music, holding weddings, etc. Marital relations, however, are not prohibited during the Nine Days or after Tisha B'Av.
Some have the custom to refrain from relations on the night after the fast. However, all agree that this custom does not apply when there is a mitzvah to be together, for example, on mikveh night, when a couple has been or will be separated for some time, or when they are trying to conceive.
